Nah kali ini saya akan menceritakan pengalaman saya selama menggunakan koneksi dari 3 Broadband. Wah pengalaman saya selama menggunakan layanan Internet banyak cerita sedihnya daripada cerita bahagianya. Mengapa tidak, memang untuk bulan pertama memang layanan Internet dari Three ini cukup memuaskan. Saya hampir bisa mendapatkan kecepatan Downlink sampai 1.8 Mbps (di test dengan menggunakan SpeedTest.net). Kecepatan segitu mah sudah cukup-cukup kencang untuk koneksi Internet dengan menggunakan modem wireless. Sebagai informasi saya mengakses layanan Three ini didaerah Karet, Sudirman, Jakarta Selatan. Taulah kan kalo daerah Sudirman itu daerah kantoran dan pastinya mereka harus menyediakan jaringan koneksi Internet yang bagus, buktinya ???

Nah sebelum saya lanjut saya mau ceritakan kenapa saya mau bukan tertarik memakai layanan Three. Dari dulu saya nggak pernah yakin dengan layanan dari Three (ini menurut pendapat saya) karena jaringannya yang belum luas dan koneksi yang masih belum dapat dipercaya. Saya lebih percaya dengan jaringan dari Telkomsel. Iya kenapa saya mau menggunakan Three karena tulisan Unlimited dan biaya penggunaanya yang cukup murah kemarin 85 ribu + PPn. Itu saja sih kenapa saya mau menggunakan layanan Three, selebihnya saya tidak akan mau menggunakan layanan dari Three.

Waktu saya beli kemarin isi brosurnya (brosur yang ada tulisan Play-nya itu loh bukan brosur yang sekarangnya) menarik sekali. Jaringan HSDPA dan kecepatannya up to 1.8 Mbps. Jangankan 0.5 Mbps 56 Kbps aja nggak sampe. Bisa lebih enak menggunakan dial up-nya Telkomnet Instan dari Telkom. Kejam nggak loe bayangkan dengan keadaan dari Three itu. Mau lihat screenshotnya kalo aku nggak bohong.

Percaya nggak dengan yang aku bilang? Nah itu dia kecepatan dari Internet 3. Hahaha … 1.8 Mbps ??? 0 Mbps kali … Kasus itu saya alami bulan ketiga sejak saya beli kartu perdananya Three dengan harga yang cukup-cukup mahal Rp 280.000,- (katanya gratis 3 bulan pemakaian Internet Unlimited). Menarik bukan ??? Nah karena itu saya pengen nyobain barang dia itu (jangan kotor ya pikirannya.) Pada saat bulan ketiga Internet saya sering sekali dapat koneksi yang sangat-sangat lemot (0 KB/s).

Bukan hanya kecepatan koneksi aja yang ) KB/s tapi seringnya putus koneksi. Wah ini yang paling kesalnya aku. Karena sering terjadinya masalah dengan koneksi Internet saya, maka saya mengajukan keluhan saya ke pihak Three. Saya mengirimkan email keluhan saya ke 3care@three.co.id. Saya kirim tanggal 25 Mei 2010 malam hari, nah saya cukup acungkan jempollah ama mereka karena pada tanggal 26 Mei 2010 dini hari email balasannya sudah datang. Cepat bukan ???

How to send an email using PHP Mailer and Yii Framework? This is the question for this topic right now. Now I will tell you how to send an email using PHP Mailer and Yii Framework. In my last post(Send SMTP email using PHP (PHPMailer)) I have told how to send an email using PHP Mailer but I did’nt explain how to send an email using Yii Framework.

Basically both of them using the PHPMailer library and use OOP concept when access the $mailer object. But in Yii Framework we must put this library in the extension directory.

1. Download the PHPMailer extension for Yii Framework from this link.
2. Create ‘extensions‘ directory under ‘protected‘ directory. (Optional if you have created it before)
3. Extract the compressed files into extensions directory.
4. Now created a new controller and make a function actionSendEmail().
5. Put the codes into the actionSendMail() body.
6. Call the action request to your controller and wait until your web server finish processing your request.
7. If the your mail sent successfully it will display result ‘Message sent successfully!‘ either it will display ‘Fail to send your message!‘
